There is no single best PPF brand. XPEL is the name most Delhi luxury owners ask for first. STEK is strongest when you want built-in hydrophobics or a matte/colour finish. Llumar and Saint-Gobain are long-warranty professional films from large materials companies. 3M is the familiar, widely trusted option.

On flagship TPU film, clarity and self-healing are close. The bigger differences are finish options, pattern library, how the warranty is registered, and who applies it.

A perfect STEK or Llumar install will outlast a rushed XPEL job. That is why this studio carries all five — so the recommendation can follow the car, not the roll that happens to be in stock.

Which PPF brand is best in Delhi NCR in 2026?

The best brand is the one that is genuine, computer-cut, and registered in your name at an authorised studio.

Delhi NCR is hard on film: 45°C paint temperature, construction dust, monsoon water at the edges, and firecracker residue in November. Those conditions punish cheap vinyl and sloppy edges more than they separate one premium TPU from another.

Use this shortcut:

• Want the most recognised name and the largest pattern library → XPEL
• Want water beading built into the film, or matte / colour PPF → STEK
• Already use Llumar sun film, or want Eastman-backed PPF → Llumar
• Want a large European materials brand with a professional India network → Saint-Gobain
• Want a familiar corporate brand and a slightly lower premium-tier quote → 3M

XPEL vs STEK vs Llumar vs Saint-Gobain vs 3M — comparison table

Figures below are for flagship clear gloss TPU as commonly specified in 2026. Exact series names and warranty wording must be confirmed on the pack and on the registration email for your car.

*Warranty is not automatic. It applies only if the film is genuine and the job is registered by an authorised installer. Yellowing, cracking, peeling and hazing are typically covered. Stone chips are what the film is for — they are not a defect.

Is XPEL better than STEK?

Not in every way. They win different arguments.

Choose XPEL if:
you want the brand buyers already know at resale; you want the deepest computer-cut pattern coverage on new BMWs, Mercedes, Porsches and EVs; you are happy to add ceramic coating after the film cures.

Choose STEK if:
you want the film itself to bead water; you are wrapping a matte or satin car; you want colour PPF instead of vinyl wrap; you prefer a slightly more flexible film on complex SUV arches.

Both are ~8 mil self-healing TPU with roughly 10-year registered warranties. In Delhi dust, the gap you will feel is usually wash behaviour (STEK’s top coat) versus name recognition and pattern coverage (XPEL).

Is XPEL better than 3M?

XPEL is usually the sharper luxury-car choice. 3M is the safer “I know this company” choice.

3M invented the category and still makes respectable Pro-series TPU. Self-healing on flagship 3M is good, but most studios and owners now treat XPEL, STEK and top Llumar as the current premium bench. 3M still makes sense when the owner wants a known corporate warranty and a quote that sits a step below the XPEL/STEK ticket.

It is not the film to pick only because the workshop said “3M PPF” and showed no pack, no series name, and no registration.

Llumar vs Saint-Gobain — who are they for?

Llumar (Eastman) is the paint-film sister of a sun-film brand many Delhi cars already carry. Owners who want one materials family on glass and paint often land here. Valor / Platinum-class film is the series to ask for, not an unnamed “Llumar roll.”

Saint-Gobain is the European industrial brand. In this market it is bought by owners who trust the company behind the glass and want a professional TPU with a registered warranty, without paying only for the XPEL badge.

Neither is a “budget film.” Both fail the same way cheap vinyl fails if the bay is dusty or the edges are left raw.

Which PPF is best for a Mercedes / BMW / Porsche in Delhi?

For a gloss luxury car that will be kept 5–10 years: XPEL Ultimate Plus-class or STEK DYNOshield-class, computer-cut, full front as a minimum, full body if you drive the expressway.

Add ceramic after the 7-day cure if you want easier washing in Delhi dust.

For a factory matte or satin paint (G 63, some AMGs, wrapped Urus): STEK matte / DYNOmatte is the conversation we have first. Matte film must match the factory sheen. The wrong gloss film on matte paint looks worse than no film.

For a white car: all five flagship films work. White shows dust nibs and stretch marks, so prep and a sealed bay matter more than the logo.

For a black or dark metallic car: same rule. Black shows haze and high edges. Do not pick the cheapest roll in the building.

Which PPF for an SUV or EV?

Large SUVs and EVs (X5, G-Wagon, Fortuner, Harrier EV, Model Y) have more cladding, cameras, radar and charging flaps. Pattern quality matters as much as brand.

XPEL’s DAP library is why many new-model EVs go that way. STEK is often easier to form around big arches. Llumar, Saint-Gobain and 3M are fine when the studio has a current kit for your year and variant — ask them to show the pattern, not just the brochure.

Does PPF brand matter more than installation?

No. Installation still wins.

Premium TPU from any of these five, applied in a dust-controlled bay with edge wrap and a next-day check, will protect a Delhi car for years. The same logo, hand-cut in a yard and washed on day two, will lift.

If the studio cannot name the series, show the box, and register the warranty, treat the brand name as marketing.

How much do these brands cost in Delhi NCR in 2026?

Brand is only one line on the quote. Coverage and correction move the number more.

From our 2026 price guide, premium-brand work in this city typically sits here:

• Partial front: ₹25,000 – ₹80,000
• Full front: ₹45,000 – ₹1,30,000
• Full body premium film: ₹1,30,000 – ₹2,50,000+
• Full body + ceramic: ₹1,60,000 – ₹2,80,000+

XPEL and STEK usually sit at the top of those bands. 3M can sit a step lower. Llumar and Saint-Gobain sit in the premium band when you specify the flagship series.

Can I put ceramic coating on all of these films?

Yes — after the film has cured, usually 7 days.

Ceramic on PPF adds gloss and makes Delhi
